Stonewall FC at St George's Park National Football Centre

Stonewall FC land England training session

Stonewall FC were invited to St. George's Park, the home of England football, for a prestigious training session led by England U21 coach and former England international Colin Cooper. The club were invited by the FA following its record-breaking 25th anniversary and triumph at the Eurogames in Helsinki last year. A great day was enjoyed by the whole squad and they hope to put into practise the skills and tactics they learnt in a game soon! Stonewall FC would like to thank the FA and staff on the day at St. George's Park for this wonderful opportunity. Further pictures from the day can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Stonewall FC feature article in The Sun

In the run up to the #RainbowLaces weekend on the 26-27th November Stonewall FC welcomed the The Sun down to one of its training sessions to talk to some of the players about the club and why there are currently no out players in the professional game. Stonewall FC Chairman Ben Biggs said, "We thank The Sun for the opportunity to tell our story, its great that we are able to bring the work the club does week in week out to tackle homophobia in the game to a whole new audience. We look forward to continue working with our partners, including the football authorities, to removing all barriers so that football can be enjoyed by everyone". This year Stonewall FC celebrated the club's 25th anniversary by hosting a Gala Dinner at The Emirates Stadium on Saturday 4 June, where players, managers, supporters and their partners, past and present, spanning all 25 years of its history attended.
